Slaughterhouse - The One

Also, though this dropped a little over a week ago, the single for the debut Slaughterhouse album finally dropped. "The One" is growing on me daily as it has true crossover appeal. Definitely not only has a rock-n-roll type beat via DJ Khalil, but the whole style of the track is, Crooked I has a few 1 liners that are just hilarious "I'm the one to cause an affair, so when your bitch burp you smell my balls in the air". It's a shame that a song like "party like a rockstar" can BLOW UP and this may not even though it has the same premise but is way more hip-hop and a more clever approach then yelling "TOTALLY DUDE!". With this track being out (DL: The ONE) and the video coming soon it makes me realize they have now dropped 9 tracks, all bangers! Time to rank them as we may not get any more leaks til the album drops (beyond the track on each EP)
1/ Onslaught. This still has to be #1 to me, this made it official, the Red Spyda beat knocks hard and everyone goes in on it.
2/ Wack MC's. This did not catch as quickly as I thought it would, another Red Spyda banger, and Royce drops the type of verse you can def sing along to in the club.
3/ Move On. All 4 of these guys are known for going deep as well as the ill punchlines, here it really works over the Kickdrums beat.
4/ Warriors. 2 Verses each, all murder, beat is FIRE, just a dope ass track.
5/ Woodstock. MOP on the hook, Joell stuck in the middle like "L-M-N-O", man Ortiz really murks everything.
6/ The One. The single really bangs, love the hook, love the back-n-forth with Joey and Joell.
7/ Slaughterhouse. The one that started the idea, Nino Bless also on this one and he holds his own with the vets, great track, beat very "posse cut like" but a lil blank for my liking. Still the bars are ridiculous.
8/ Fight Klub. This one is dope and they all come correct but it is more what the haters were expecting, no hook and just some bars over an okay beat, I still dig the shit out of it, don't get me wrong.
9/ Money On The Floor. The real song is by Corte but they S.H. Remix this, a good idea to show their diversity, bars are tight as always.
So far they have yet to make a wack cut which is taking my antipication level for the album to a new high, hopefully they do not disappoint!

Slaughterhouse - Warriors

Royce is the first member of the Slaughterhouse to release his EP, entitled The Revival (PLEASE COP ON ITUNES RIGHT NOW!!!) This track is absolutely bananas, everyone goes 2 times, the beat is insane, Crooked I MURDERS this track. Joe Budden shuts it down when he calls himself "BCS" a line for all the haters that say he is only ranked #1 on the computer.

NBA FREE AGENT SIGNING DAY

Ron-Ron will only make the Lake-Show more entertaining!
3 Offseason Stories I'm Into So Far:
1. Rich Get Richer.
Talk about a top heavy season coming up! The Lakers bring in Ron Artest, the Celtics bring in Rasheed Wallace (at least), the Spurs add Richard Jefferson, Cav's get Shaq, Magic get Vince. So those are basically THE 5 legit contenders in the NBA next season all improving, add in Denver and Portland both just improving on great seasons.
2. Hedo!
Yes, I do believe that Vince over Hedo, Rafer, AND C.Lee is an improvement, especially since I like Ryan Anderson a lot. Vince will be able to hit the big shots and demand the attention late that hurt the Magic in the finals. Still Hedo had a chance to either stay with the Magic and make a serious run at the title OR go to Portland who would've been talked about in #1 above more seriously if they landed Hedo. That young backcourt with Hedo, Outlaw, Webster, Aldridge and Oden up front? Scary, instead he goes to the Rap's an organization that seem to have no clue at the moment. Still, though they underachieved last year, a starting 5 of Calderon, Derozan, Hedo, Bosh, Bargnani should put up some points.
3. The others trying to compete.
Teams like the Nets and Bucks have admitted it is a low budget youth movement, but then I look at the Pistons, Bulls, Wizards and wonder how their seasons will go. The Pistons spent a boatload of money on scorers Ben Gordon and UConn pal Charlie Villanueva, with Stuckey and Rip do they think this core will really win them a chip? I don't see it, why waste all that money? Getting Boozer would help. The Bulls seem to be on the cusp and should get better, they had to find a way to keep Ben Gordon. The Wizards made a deal I love as far as getting better, bringing in Foye and Miller gives them an excellent starting 5 and bench, but will it be enough? Still the East will be extremely exciting.

Beats on this one BANG, great guest list as well, maybe my favorite solo Alch record yet. I am posting the track with the Dogg Pound, Kurupt MURDERS ths ill ass beat.

Trey Songz - It Would Be You

I can't front, I am feeling every track Trey drops. He just released a prequel to his next album titled ANTICIPATION. Tracks are dope, thought I think "In Ya Phone" and "Dont Wanna Come Down" shouldve been on it. I am rooting for him to move some units this round.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson!!

If you grew up in the 80's and 90's Michael Jackson is a true icon. A megastar of unparalleled proportions. Above the insane celebrity status though it was always the music. So many timeless classic songs. This 1 I'm posting is from the twilight of his shortened career. "You Rock My World" was an underwhelming 1st single for the highly anticipated INVINCIBLE album. Jay-Z and the Trackmasters brought a little life to the remix. The album itself was not bad, I remember buying it a few days after it dropped at Rock & Soul (NYC). The slower stuff was tight imo, "Speechless" and "You Are My Life" are two GREAT songs imo... Anyway... Here is his remix to "You Rock My World" featuring hip-hop's standing king, Jay-Z.

Drake - Think Good Thoughts ft. Elzhi & Phonte

Drizzy! Any dude that gets two of my favorite rappers on a track is aight with me. Elzhi & Phonte last linked up when they murdered "Hiding Place" and now they hop on a track with the most talked about dude in music, DRAKE. All 3 do they thing, the Drake to Phonte comparisons make sense because Drake has stated he is a big fan of Tiggalo.
DL: Drake - Think Good Thoughts

Blaq Poet - Rap Addiction ft. Lil' Fame

While everyone stays excited about the Blueprint 3, Blaq Poet is about to release The Blaqprint which is almost entirely produced by DJ Premier so no doubt the beats will bang and Poet is a slept-on mc imo.
DL: Blaq Poet - Rap Addiction

Ryan Leslie - Something ft. Pusha T

I am feelin the shit outta this track right now... Leslie delivers his smooth sing/rap flow over this and Pusha puts a stamp on it at the end.
DL: Ryan Leslie - Somethin

Throwback Jawn Of The Day: Beans & Free - PHILLY

I don't think enough people are aware of this unreleased track. Beans and Free GO IN over a sick Kanye West beat. I think this was supposed to be Clue's Professional 3 but as far as I know the track never saw the light of day commercially.
DL: Beanie Sigel and Freeway - Philly Ni**az

Ginuwine - Get Involved (Prod. Timbaland)

Ginuwine links up with old friends Missy and Timbo as the VA Players do a track for G's new album, A Man's Thoughts, good to see Ginuwine still doin it...

Slaughterhouse - Woodstock ft. M.O.P.

The murder continues this time with the bullies from Brownsville. I love M.O.P. especially Lil' Fame, I actually think he would be a great S.H. member. Regardless another banger to join the original self-titled track, "Onslaught", "Move On", "Fight Klub", and "Wack MC's" and I'm assuming "One" hit's the innanetz anyway now.
DL: Slaughterhouse - Woodstock

Nas - Be Worried (Prod. By Swizz Beatz)

Nasty Nas & Swizzy!

DL: Buff 1 - Never Fail ft. Black Milk

Chali 2Na Ft. Elzhi - When Will I See U Again

Chali 2Na is an extremely talented mc and he has a heavily anticipated solo album dropping soon. He has obviously experienced some mainstream success as the most recognizable member of Jurassic 5. Here he teams up with fellow multi-syllable rhyme machine Elzhi. The album has some other tight guest spots like Talib Kweli, Beenie Man, Anthony Hamilton & More.
DL: Chali 2Na ft. Elzhi - When Will I See U Again

M.O.P. - Blow The Horns

New Mash Out Posse produced by Fizzy Womack. Fame has got to be the most slept-on mc/producer of all-time. Anyway, let's hope this new album really drops this summer!

If you have not picked up Daniel Merriweather's Love & War album you are missing out. Probably my favorite album of the year, here is a track off of it for you hip-hop heads with Dan's labelmate Wale.
DL: Daniel Merriweather - Change ft. Wale

*Throwback Of The Day* Triangle Offense - Grand Theft Audio

Before there was Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden was in another potential supergroup with Fabolous & Paul Cain. I personally wish that album came out, every track they did together the MURDERED. With the name being Triangle Offense we will put this up as the throwback in honor of the Lakers game 1 victory last night.
DL: Triangle Offense (Joe Budden, Fabolous, Paul Cain) - Grand Theft Audio

Hitchcock - They Walk

Gotta rep Jersey on this one. Hitchcock is a really dope mc out of Jersey City. Most of y'all have heard him when him and Ransom where the A-Team rolling with Joe Budden. He has the solo shit popping and this track is off his new album H20: Chapter I, keep your eyes open for that.
DL: Hitchcock - They Walk

Throwback Of The Day - Bonecrusher - Neva Scared Remix

With all this talk of upcoming Cam & Jada collabo's it made me throw this track on. Both dudes KILLED this shit, I could not STAND the original version but I love the remix. "If the world was sucka free it'd just be me and my ni**as left" - Jadakiss
Bonecrusher - Neva Scared Remix ft. Cam'Ron, Jadakiss, and Busta Rhymes

DL: Young Dro - My Impala

Charles Hamilton - Barbara Walters

For those who have not heard it, the 1st single off of The Perfect Life. BK Girls was obviously more catchy, but this is some standard Hamilton heat...
